Web Development

(previous) PixelProfesional.com This site was done over about 6 months, and currently I am displaying a development version as the production version was changed. The code is fully commented, and has several tools to help manage it, has many unit tests, etc... It is done in Ruby on Rails 2.2, with JQuery.

These require an older Unity 1.6.2 webplayer plugin.

Pre Y2k 3D and Graphics

• - NATURE -  1st Place, Crash 1997 Demo Competition.
  As far as I know it was the first Demo to run both in Windows and Dos, with both hardware aceleration (3DFX & extendable) and software rendering. Unfortunately I lost the code and have not been able to fix a bug that limits it to VBE2.0 DOS or Win 95,98, or Me (or Wine in Linux). The 3D Modelling & Graphics were done by me, music was made in Impulse tracker by Leviathan (Andy Carlson), and the 3D Engine was a joint effort between Tim Wharton and I.

• Misc Graphics Techniques

• - VGOBlob.java - Source code to the plasma applet that is displayed on the right side of this page. It uses a MemoryImageSource and creates a color plasma for the background, then renders 2D blobs that appear as flares (they grow as they get closer to each other), and passes everything through one of 4 different diffraction lenses, including one that is a loaded image.
• - CGFeeds Widget - A Yahoo Widget that interprets the RSS feed from CGFeeds and displays the Image for each entry, as well as transfering you to the relevant page when double clicked. It has a slideshow option as well.
• - VGOSHADO.TXT - A document I wrote on Realtime Shadows. Even though it is 8 years old, there is a scarcity of information on the subject, and the document is still usable I think, although most of the information regarding hardware information can be disregarded now. I hope to be updating the information in the future.
• - VGOVBE2.0 - DOS Isn't dead, make it sing in 32 Bit color.
